Note: Herbert Henry played football for Wolverton Football Club and then at Turnbridge Wells and also for Northampton Town . Was referred to as Bertie Russell in newspaper's about football team.
Although on further investigation it has been found that there are no references for him playing for the first or reserve teams at Northampton Town FC (The Cobblers), he may have been feed out to tunbridge wells as a feeder. There are however many articles concerning his playing days at Wolverton Town FC in the Milton Keynes Citizen and other papers.
Herbert Henry died whilst drinking his favourite drink (Whisky) in Hilda May Faux chair in her cottage at the top of the High St, Potterspury.
Although items have been found that prove he played for Wolverton and possibly Tunbridge Wells, it seems that he may have been employed by Northampton but did not actually play for them.

Note: Ernest Henry - died alone and in his bed.
His was often remembered for smoking a pipe and his walking stick. He often would walk up woods lane and walk to the "Cock Inn".
Ernest also was a member of the British Army during the war and was awarded some medals. I recall seeing these in his house, but after his death these were never seen again.
Ernest was often referred to as Harry, but to his grand children was referred to as Grampy Russell, he would often sit outside Henry's house on the concrete sign in between the house and the blacksmith's gate. I also remember him being there when i came back from school. He would also be found sitting on a chair in Henry and Phyllis's front garden enjoying watching the village people.
